American Kennel Club 4-Step Pet Stairs for Small & Senior Dogs — 16 x 24 x 14.2 in, Washable Lamb's Fleece, Supports 35 lb

AKC 4-Step Pet Stairs are a lightweight, non-slip, washable stair system that helps small and long-backed dogs plus senior pets reach beds, couches, and other raised spots safely.

These stairs combine a durable plastic frame with a soft, removable lamb’s fleece cover to create an easy-to-assemble, portable solution for pets that need help climbing. Assembly requires no tools — snap the side frames together, insert the vertical and horizontal panels, add the X-shaped support, and slip on the washable cover. Designed to support up to 35 lbs and sized at 16 x 24 x 14.2 inches, the AKC 4-Step Stairs balance stability, comfort, and compact storage for everyday use or travel.

How quickly will I have the stairs ready to use?

Put the stairs together in minutes with the tool-free design; all parts click into place for a snug fit. No screws or special tools are needed, and the cover slips on last to protect the panels and provide a non-slip surface.

• Tool-free click-together side frames
• Insertable vertical and horizontal panels
• X-shaped brace for added rigidity
• Slip-on washable lamb’s fleece cover

Will these stairs be stable and safe for my small or senior dog?

The sturdy plastic construction and internal X-brace give a stable climbing platform, while each step is covered in soft, anti-slip fabric to reduce slips and provide gentle traction. For added security on slick floors we recommend using a mat or grip material beneath the base.

• Durable molded plastic frame for steady support
• Anti-slip fabric cover on every step
• Supports pets up to 35 lbs
• Grip-mat recommended on smooth surfaces

How do I keep the stairs clean and fresh?

The lamb’s fleece cover is removable and machine washable so maintaining hygiene is straightforward. Remove the cover, launder according to instructions, and the fabric will return soft and comfortable for your pet.

• Removable cover for easy washing
• Machine-safe fleece — follow care label
• Plastic panels simply wipe clean between washes
• Fabric stays soft after laundering

Can I move these stairs around the house or take them on trips?

Yes — the AKC stairs are intentionally lightweight for portability, letting you move them from bedroom to living room or pack them for travel without strain. Their compact footprint also makes temporary storage simple when they’re not in use.

• Lightweight design for easy relocation
• Compact 16 x 24 x 14.2 in dimensions
• Quick assembly/disassembly for travel
• Sits well against beds, couches, or vehicle seats
