AKABIKE Blocking Shield Pad 24x16 PU Leather - 5 Handles, High-Density Foam Impact Protection

The AKABIKE Blocking Shield Pad is a rugged 24" x 16" PU leather impact pad with high-density foam and five padded handles for secure, multi-sport contact training.

Built for coaches, trainers and athletes, this pad withstands repeated tackles, kicks and body checks while keeping partners protected. The outer layer is waterproof PU leather with reinforced stitching, and the interior uses softer, high-density foam engineered to absorb hard impacts while providing quick rebound. At 3.5 lbs and with five strategically placed handles, it balances coverage and maneuverability for youth and adult practice.

How does the AKABIKE pad protect athletes during contact drills?

The pad’s high-density foam disperses and reduces force across a larger surface to lower the sting on shins, ribs, and shoulders. Its softer foam profile minimizes bruising compared with firmer EVA alternatives without sacrificing durability or resistance to heavy impacts.

• High-density foam core engineered for shock absorption and rapid rebound
• Large 24" x 16" contact surface for coverage during tackles and kicks
• Softer feel than hard EVA to reduce skin and bone-level bruising

What features make this pad easy to handle and hold during sessions?

Five padded handles—three on the rear and two on the sides—give handlers multiple grip options for carrying, angling and stabilizing the pad during dynamic movement. The handles are wrapped with pearl cotton padding to stay comfortable and non-slip even during sweaty workouts.

• Three rear handles for coach-led resistance and angle control
• Two side handles for partner holds and rotational drills
• Padded grips that stay secure when users are moving or sweating

Is the AKABIKE pad durable enough for outdoor and high-volume use?

The exterior is waterproof PU leather that resists mud, rain and repeated wiping, while reinforced stitching and rugged construction tolerate frequent impacts from football, rugby, and MMA training. Despite a protective build, the pad remains lightweight for easy transport between practices.

• Waterproof PU leather outer shell wipes clean in seconds
• Reinforced seams designed to survive high-frequency sessions
• 3.5 lbs weight balances strength and portability

Which sports and drills work best with this blocking shield?

This pad is intended for multi-sport contact training—football tackling, basketball defensive charges, rugby and stick-and-body drills, plus kicking and blocking routines in martial arts. Coaches and partners can use it for live tackling reps, contact conditioning, and technique reinforcement without needing several specialized pads.

• Football tackling and blocking drills
• Martial arts kicks and body checks (Taekwondo, Karate, Muay Thai)
• Basketball defensive drills and rugby contact practice
