Agriculture Solutions Salinity Refractometer 0–100 PPT (ATC) — Specific Gravity, Compact Chromium Body

Agriculture Solutions Salinity Refractometer accurately measures seawater salinity from 0–100 PPT with automatic temperature compensation for marine and aquarium use.

This compact, durable refractometer is engineered for hobbyists, aquaculture technicians, and environmental monitors who need fast, reliable salinity and specific gravity readings. Built with a chromium alloy main body and supplied in a protective hard case, the unit reads both Specific Gravity (D 20/20) and parts per thousand (PPT), simplifying routine water checks for reef tanks, marine fishkeeping, and seaside monitoring.

How fast and accurate are the readings?

Readings are nearly instantaneous—just apply a few drops of sample, close the cover plate, and view the scale through the eyepiece. Automatic temperature compensation helps stabilize results across typical field temperatures, reducing the need for manual corrections.

• Measures salinity on 0–100 PPT and Specific Gravity (D 20/20).
• Automatic Temperature Compensation (ATC) for consistent results.
• Chromium main body for stable optical alignment and durability.
• Quick sample-to-result workflow in under a minute.

What accessories come with the refractometer?

The instrument is delivered as a complete kit so you can begin measuring right away. A molded hard case secures the refractometer, while a dropper and cleaning cloth make field sampling and maintenance straightforward.

• Hard protective carrying case for storage and transport.
• Plastic dropper for controlled sample application.
• Screwdriver for calibration adjustments and user manual for step-by-step guidance.
• Microfiber cleaning cloth to keep optics clear and accurate.

How do I maintain and calibrate this device?

Calibration is simple and quick using the included screwdriver and a standard calibration solution or distilled water. Keep the prism clean and dry after each use, protect the eyepiece from dust, and store the refractometer in its hard case to preserve optical alignment.

• Calibrate periodically with distilled water or a known-salinity solution.
• Wipe the prism and cover plate with the supplied cleaning cloth after use.
• Store in the hard case to prevent knocks and maintain accuracy.
• Inspect and tighten any loose fittings with the included screwdriver.

Can this refractometer be used outdoors or on boats?

Yes—the robust chromium construction and compact design make it well-suited for fieldwork, boat checks, and coastal sampling. While not waterproof, the solid build tolerates regular handling; always dry the unit and store it safely after exposure to spray or wet environments.

• Durable chromium main body resists wear in field conditions.
• Portable hard case protects optics during transport.
• Rapid readings minimize time exposed to wet environments.
• Not designed for submersion; keep dry between uses.
