Adaman Dried Black Soldier Fly Larvae 5 lb — High‑Calcium Poultry Feed, Resealable Bag

These dried black soldier fly (BSF) larvae deliver concentrated protein, amino acids, and elevated calcium in an easy-to-store 5-pound bag, designed to be mixed with regular feed, used as a topper, or given as a treat. The product provides a shelf-stable option for backyard flocks, hobby farms, and wildlife feeding, with resealable packaging to preserve freshness and simplify portioning.

How do these BSF larvae support laying hens and eggshell quality?

Dried black soldier fly larvae contain naturally occurring minerals, including higher calcium levels compared with some other insect feeds, which can help hens access dietary calcium when used alongside a balanced layer ration. They act as a supplemental source rather than a replacement for formulated layer feeds.

• High-calcium ingredient helpful as an additional source for shell formation.
• Protein and amino acids support general nutrition during lay.
• Easy to scatter or mix so hens will readily consume small portions.

What are practical ways to feed Adaman BSF larvae to backyard flocks?

The larvae are versatile: sprinkle them over daily ration, mix into mash, offer in a treat dish, or use for training and enrichment. Portion control helps maintain balanced nutrition; use the product as a supplement to complete feed rather than the sole diet.

• Hand-sprinkle as a treat or training reward to encourage foraging behavior.
• Mix 5–10% by volume into regular feed as a supplement (adjust by flock needs).
• Use a shallow dish or scattering to reduce competition and waste.

Are these dried grubs suitable for animals beyond chickens?

Yes—ADAMAN BSF larvae are acceptable for ducks, geese, many wild birds, and certain small reptiles or insectivores as a supplemental protein and mineral source. Always confirm species-specific dietary needs and adjust portion sizes accordingly.

• Safe for ducks, geese, and many backyard poultry species as a supplement.
• Appropriate for wild-bird feeding stations to attract insectivores.
• Can be offered to small reptiles or amphibians that accept dried insect feed, following proper portioning.

How does the packaging help maintain quality and convenience?

The product ships in a resealable 5-pound bag that helps lock in freshness and simplifies storage on the coop shelf. Bulk sizing reduces frequent reorders for small flocks and enables measured daily use without exposing the entire supply.

• Resealable bag preserves flavor and texture between feedings.
• 5LB bulk size suits multi-bird households and seasonal needs.
• Lightweight, stackable packaging for easy storage in feed areas.

Who is this for? Adaman 5LB Dried Black Soldier Fly Larvae are aimed at backyard poultry keepers, hobby farmers, and wildlife enthusiasts seeking a natural, protein-rich supplement with elevated calcium for laying birds. If you raise chickens, ducks, or other small animals and want a convenient, resealable insect-based addition to your feeding routine, this product offers a practical way to diversify nutrition and encourage natural foraging behavior without replacing your flock’s formulated feed.
