ABERLLS First & Last Day of School Board is a double-sided 11 x 14 wooden chalkboard sign that records a child’s first-day and last-day school details for keepsake photos and yearly memory tracking.

Capture classroom milestones and family traditions with a reusable, kid-safe photo prop designed for preschool through elementary grades. This reversible board combines a playful back-to-school look with a writable chalkboard surface so parents and children can note age, grade, teacher, favorites, and dreams. Durable wooden construction and a wipe-clean finish make it a practical prop you can use every year or pass down as a sentimental memento.

What information can I record on this First & Last Day board?

The ABERLLS board is laid out to help kids share the day’s essentials and a few personal touches. Use conventional chalk or liquid chalk markers to write the date, age, grade, teacher’s name, favorite subjects, hobbies, books, and future ambitions.

• Fields for date, age, and grade — ideal for yearly comparison photos
• Space to record teacher name and school for class-specific memories
• Prompts for favorite book, hobbies, and “what I want to be” to capture personality
• Reversible sides labeled for “first day” and “last day” uses

How durable and reusable is the wooden chalkboard sign?

Built from high-quality wood with rounded corners, the sign resists damage from normal family use and is safe for little hands. The chalkboard surface wipes clean with a damp cloth, so details can be updated year after year without ghosting or staining when care instructions are followed.

• Sturdy wooden frame that stands up to repeated handling
• Waterproof finish on the board helps prevent warping and staining
• Rounded corners reduce the risk of bumps and scrapes for kids
• Compatible with standard chalk and liquid chalk markers for easy updates

Which sizes and photography uses work best with this 11 x 14 sign?

The 11 x 14 inch size is large enough to be visible in portraits while remaining easy for children to hold. It makes a clear focal point in school photos, family albums, and social media posts without overpowering the child in the image.

• Ideal for single-child portraits, sibling photos, and classroom group shots
• Fits common photo frames and albums for long-term display
• Proportions that balance with child height from preschool through early grades
• Lightweight for easy positioning in indoor or outdoor settings

How do I clean and store the chalkboard to keep it like new?

Cleaning is straightforward: wipe the surface with a damp cloth after using chalk or liquid chalk markers to avoid residue build-up. For longer-term storage, keep the board flat in a dry place or hang it by its edge to prevent bending or moisture exposure.

• Wipe with a soft damp cloth; avoid abrasive cleaners
• Allow marker ink to dry briefly before handling to prevent smears
• Store in a dry, flat space or inside a protective sleeve between uses
• Keep away from direct sunlight when not in use to preserve colors

It works well for preschool and elementary-age kids, photographers creating keepsake portraits, or families building a yearly photo tradition.
