3M P100 Performance Mold & Lead Paint Removal Respirator, Medium — Reusable Half-Mask with Carbon Layer

The 3M P100 Performance Mold & Lead Paint Removal Respirator (medium) is a reusable half-mask system with P100 filters and a carbon layer for high-efficiency particulate removal and nuisance vapor reduction.

Designed for renovation and remediation tasks, this 3M respirator pairs a comfortable, lightweight facepiece with replaceable P100 filters to block at least 99.97% of airborne particles. Its bayonet-style connection accepts a wide range of 3M cartridges and filters, while adjustable straps let you fine-tune the seal for extended wear during sanding, scraping, or insulation work. Intended for occupational use, it must be used within a workplace respiratory protection program and according to manufacturer instructions.

How does this respirator protect against mold and lead dust?

The included P100 filters meet NIOSH criteria for 99.97% filtration of solid and liquid aerosols, including oil-based particulates. A specialized carbon layer also helps lower nuisance-level organic odors commonly encountered during remediation.

• NIOSH-approved P100 filters for high particulate capture
• Oil-proof filter media suitable for oil aerosols within use limits
• Carbon layer to reduce nuisance organic vapors and odors
• Bayonet connection for compatibility with additional 3M cartridges

What features improve fit and comfort for long projects?

The medium-sized facepiece is built to be lightweight and balanced, reducing fatigue over extended periods. Adjustable head straps help achieve a consistent seal and accommodate different head shapes and hair styles.

• Adjustable straps for a secure, custom fit
• Lightweight facepiece minimizes strain during long shifts
• Reusable design lets you replace filters without swapping the whole mask
• Compact profile for easier tool and material handling

Which jobs and environments is this respirator suitable for?

This respirator is intended for professional tasks that generate hazardous dust or nuisance vapors at low concentrations. Typical uses include lead paint abatement, mold remediation, woodworking, and insulation installation where airborne particulates are present.

• Lead-based paint removal when used within regulatory requirements
• Mold cleanup and remediation projects
• Construction, carpentry, and fiberglass insulation work
• Jobs with nuisance-level organic solvent odors

How should it be used and maintained for safety?

Use this respirator only as part of a formal workplace respiratory protection program that includes fit testing, training, and regular inspection. Replace filters per manufacturer guidance and dispose of contaminated components according to workplace rules.

• Follow OSHA or local regulatory respiratory program requirements
• Perform fit checks every time the mask is worn
• Replace filters when breathing resistance increases or per schedule
• Store the facepiece clean, dry, and away from contaminants

Who is this for: Professionals and tradespeople who need a reliable, reusable respirator for particulate-heavy tasks—such as contractors, mold remediators, and renovation crews—will appreciate the P100 protection, carbon-layer nuisance odor relief, and the flexibility to add other 3M cartridges. This product is intended for workplace use and must be deployed within a compliant respiratory protection program; consult your safety officer or 3M instructions for correct selection, fit, and maintenance.
